I Heart My New Jumper

One of my customising projects. I bought a skirt for the Fara shop - it was ankle length and just horrible but beautiful suede and a lovely rich orangey tan colour. I couldn't resist that much suede for £4.50, so I bought it.

I didn't know what to do with it until I was inspired by a jumper I saw online with a red heart on the front. I got this jumper in the H&M sale for £7 and sewed on the heart. I didn't have any stabilizer, so I winged it but it turned out okay. I also cut the skirt off at a seam to make it short. A bit too short - so I added a strip of ancient lace (also from a charity shop, natch) I've had in my stash for ages.

The children were back to school today :( Neither seemed to mind too much. The house was so quiet today.
