Delicate work

Today started with a lot of spilt blood but became much calmer later on. This is Mum starting her new embroidery when the calm had settled.

First thing this morning, one of her varicose veins took a small knock and burst. The blood was spurting everywhere! There wasn't really a lot, but it reminded me of Lady Macbeth saying "Yet who would have thought the old man to have had so much blood in him?" A little goes a long way!!

Pressure and a dressing sorted out the bleeding. The carpet and walls have been a bit more troublesome.........

Our committee meeting for the festival went well. I'm now planning a quiet evening.
