Dallas, a turkey vulture.
Today, the wife and I left Bourton on the Water after staying over night in the inn we had our honeymoon in 19 years ago. But instead of heading straight home we decided to go to the Cotswolds Falconry Centre in Morton in Marsh.
We arrived a little early so it was only right to go and have coffee and cake in the garden centre next to it to pass the time. The falconry centre had only been open for a week after the winter closure so we timed it just about right. they have many birds of prey on display and they all look so beautiful.
It was time for the flying display, that was fun. Several birds were flown, and many of them skimmed our heads as they flew by. I did manage to get some images but they were so fast and with the light poor many were out of focus. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to come back for the next display an hour later.
But what to do for the next hour, well it would be wrong not to go back top the cafe for some more coffee. With that the wife had soup and I had a bowl of chips, very yummy and so fresh. still with time to pass we decided on more cake, lol. I had this chocolate cake, very yummy.
The second display was just as good, except this time they got the vultures out as well as a hawk and a falcon.
If you have never been there it is well worth a visit, you will enjoy it.
