Upper Gailey Pool

On a day when one of the news stories is about drought in the Midlands, this is one of three interconnected pools operated by British Waterways serving the Staffordshire and Worcester Canal. It is, as far as I can see at capacity, despite it being the "upper" pool. It's great to be able to see the sunrise before getting into work, it was at a very civilised 7:15 am. I will sonn be cursing it as it gets to silly 'o' clock in the morning. Still as Galen Rowell said "You only get one sunrise and sunset a day, and you only get so many days on the planet. A good photographer does the math and doesn't waste either."
