Blackbird
After a dull start things brightened up in the afternoon so took myself off to Ardersier Common walking through the gorse towards Fort George and returning along the beach. A very bracing wind and some dramatic skies looking up the Moray Firth towards Inverness. In the end decided to blip this blackbird which seemed to know I couldn't reach him. The ones in the garden this year have been very timid compared with some characters in previous years. My other choice would probably have been this teasel of which there were quite a lot. At one time they were used in textile mills for carding - a process which helps to get the cotton or wool ready for spinning.
