D is for derelict Duddeston
Vauxhall Station was once important to Birmingham
In the early 80s when I was a daily commuter it was called Vauxhall & Duddeston
Now it's just Duddeston and the sort of place you only get off if you have to (bit like a slasher horror movie set)
I feel sentimental because it reminds me of trivia from my Russian lessons at school...the Czar was so impressed by Vauxhall Station in London that the name became the Russian word for railway station...??????...
