View overlooking Shuttlewood

Open views across northeast Derbyshire from Oxcroft Lane north of Bolsover. The valley below was very industrial with coal mines and a large Coalite works. These are now closed but leave their mark on the landscape. Shuttlewood village and the roads to Bolsover and Clowne are semi-rural, but have rather an air of post industrial bleakness about them which is emphasised on a grey day. But the views are extensive and rather grand, with the Peak District hills on the skyline.
