Growing old disgracefully

By GOD

LOST AND FOUND

I bought these beaten silver earrings for 10 Euros at a jewellery fair in Madrid ten years ago and they have been my favourite danglers every since. One has been missing for about a year, but I never abandoned hope I would find it. On Saturday, I saw a small glint of silver in the compost bin I was emptying. Two days and a tin of Silvo later and they are reunited. The one that has been composting may never be quite the same again, but I don't care - the tarnish is part of its appeal.

Not sure how to deal with camera reflections in these shots, so any advice would be appreciated. The red is from a nearby bowl of tulips.
