Edgar Rowley Smart

In 1913 the artist Edgar Rowley Smart painted this as a suggestion for a programme for a play to be performed in Manchester. He was a close friend of Bill's grandfather and this was a present to him. It has been handed down through the family and was given to Jen by her grandmother before she died. He was quite well known and has some of his pictures in the Tate.
