Southbound

This is a first for me, I am posting a photo (of me) shot by someone else (my daughter).

This is also the first day with another new camera.

I gave up on the Casio, was a piece of cr@p. lousy (nonexistent) macro function and half the shots from the county fair this weekend were out of focus and unusable.

Fortunately Costco has a ninety day return policy.

The Nikon is 9 megapixels and ergonomically seems good. Optical VR is a necessity for me as well as fitting into the waterproof case for kayaking (it does).

So today I'm uploading from the coolpix for the first time. In this shot I'm driving L to soccer practice in the evening, heading south down Route 522, and I am showing her the new camera and mugging for the lens. She is barely visible in the reflections of my sunglasses.

Sorry Dearest Blip Moderators about the time stamp issue (again). Maybe I should load the nikon software but the software from my D40 crashed on my lousy ancient Compaq.
Tomorrow I'll try and load from the camera using Picasa.
