Project 366 - Day 49 - The First sign of Spring

Focus on the Crocus!

I am doing a get pushed challenge on Flickr and my challenge is

"the first sign of spring"

I would like it to be a close up ...and to have good lines compositionally, and varied contrasts tonally.....and I think it needs to be in colour!
.......I leave the exact subject up to you... but I would like to see something that really 'speaks' spring!
I also leave you to figure out depth of field and shutter speeds... you might like to try variations on the same shot ...to see which works best...

PS .. a final thought...you might like to try a square format, as close ups often work well in square format...however ...this is entirely your decision...!

I really enjoyed this, it allowed me to play with the Aperture settings on my camera to get a good depth of field. I was starting to think with all the rain today I was not going to get this shot at all, but it finally cleared so I jumped straight out there - my patience was rewarded with dew drops on the flowers which really finish off the shot for me. I am really pleased with the result, I think I have achieved my challenge!
