Wind Power : Whitelee Wind Farm

Europe's largest windfarm, located on Eaglesham Moor with over 70 km of walks and cycle trails.
140 turbines.
Total height with rotor at highest point - 110 meters, equal to a 36-storey building.
Rotor diameter - 93 meters.
Max speed of blade tips - 240kph (160mph).
Max Output - 2.3 megawatts.

Our first visit. In an hour we experienced all weathers up here. Sunshine, dark clouds, rain, ended up covered in snow.

I will be back ... with a tripod and another lens. Ages since I'd had my kit 18-200mm on the camera, never been that happy with it.
