Making Use of the Fine Weather

Mr Down in the Dip got a great load done in the garden today. Here he is chipping wood. I'm going to use it to make paths in the vegetable garden.
The leeks in the foreground have been in since last summer. They were seriously shaded, as a length of willow that I stuck in the ground to train the peas up started putting down roots. Last year there was almost a whole tree growing exactly where it shouldn't be! I spent the morning trying to dig it up but failed. I fear I will have to uproot the leeks.
