What lies beneath
the rocks and seaweed and sand when an expanse of beach is revealed by the outgoing tide?
Tom & I had a late afternoon exploration. The treasures we found included little crabs, mussels & clam-like shells. And poking around the edges of the sea were masses of different types of gulls we've not yet identified, turnstones and a curlew. Bird prints daintily criss-crossed the sand.
At the time of this shot, the sky was still blue but the sun was slowly going down and shadows were lengthening. I like Tom's reflection and the sense of quiet and remoteness. It looks darker than it was because I shot into the sun.
I also like this shot.
