only now can i summon the mental strength to enter my christmas blip. we had a lovely day as far as i can remember and chloe got everything she wanted (a wedding dress included) and alex got a scooter which she was very excited about...

i don't really know what my problem with christmas, perhaps there are to many to isolate just one main problem. it's such a paradoxical time of year and it starts earlier with each passing year. the manic consumerism, the confusing religous aspects, the santa problem, the forced and fake "peace and goodwill" message, the hideous waste.

basically everything that is wrong with our way off living, being celebrated for at least one month of the year.

i do enjoy having time with my family and i love giving them presents but i feel trapped into doing at christmas time and there is no escape...

oh well, only 298 days and 11 hours to go
