Just Practising . . .

Funny the things you see from your front door! This morning the local lifeboat appeared in the bay. I kept an eye on them just in case they decided to do a "man overboard" type exercise. I thought it would be a tad cruel as there were frequent sleety snow showers, but it would have been worth a blip!

The big house across the bay is where we got married last May. Note how the poor trees have been stunted and sculpted by the wind and gales. The hedge in the foreground is hebe. A great value shrub, it grows very quickly, permanently is covered with purple flowers and glossy green leaves and provides shelter for lots of nesting birds.

Another cold day so decided to spend the morning baking a sunflower and pumpkin loaf and an apple cake. Brunch was sardines on toast. You've got to feed these postmen well, or they'll never finish building the extension! I've found it has more effect than nagging . . . . !

Oh, and I back blipped yesterday too . . .
