one of the reasons i haven't been blipping much recently was, i was filming a group of spanish people visiting scotland on a corporate jolly. they were here for a week and we were with them 24/7!
there were guides, etc but basically the group didn't speak any english and we don't speak any spanish, which made for a total comedy experience. the whole thing was mad, there was 120 in the group, all staying at the balmoral. they had lunch and a whisky tasting at edinburgh castle. dinner at harvey nics. dinner at stirling castle. highland games and lunch at dundas castle. lunch and rugby at murrayfield and loads goody bags. barbour jacket each, signed rugby shirts and balls...
it turns out that the group had nicknames for me and the other guy i was working with: george and george.
this is a picture of (from left to right): a spanish bloke, george, another spanish bloke and george (me) at murrayfield.
they wanted us to film them at the rugby but we didn't have tickets or passes to get in. we decided to chance it and went in on a coach with one of the groups of spanish people. at the corporate ticket check we just made ourselves as small as possible and snuck in! we wandered throughout the stadium, filmed the pitch, filmed some of the match and even had some rock steady guys watching out for us while we were filming...
we made some pretty good friends (we even learned some of their names) and i had a great time. i even learned a bit of spanish: mucho frio - very cold
