It's been a strange kind of day today. I've done all the usual things and time just seems to have gently passed.

I've managed to get a decent radio channel on the new phone and tomorrow I might put some money on it so it can be used from when I hand it over. I know he will only use it for emergencies but it's still better than having nothing and not being able to locate him.

I've decided I'll phone the hospital again on Monday to see what's happening in the week ahead. I'm still in touch with his other friends from further afield and keeping them in the loop.

Some gifts arrived today for my sister in law's birthday which I'll have to wrap and take round on Monday I think.

I've heard about a care home that is really good. I'm not intending to use it yet but if I need one I'll bear that one in mind.

Been putting my own birthday list together. It was a long un and then sent it off to my sister and my sister in law. Sounds a bit mercenary but it's how we do things and seems to work. I think it makes things easier for the one doing the buying and there's no chance of anyone getting the same thing as each other. :)

Looking for a replacement jacket as the one I've got has started to wear through where it creases around the wrist. Such a shame the way they do that when the rest of the jacket is perfectly fine.
