Not Carnival 2011

Praca Benedito Calixto in Sao Paulo was in full carnival mode today. On a normal Saturday it has a lovely art fair on the square and although it was still there today, the stallholders just couldn't compete with the local parade and the revellers! I enjoyed the carnival atmosphere for a wee while, but I found the crowds and noise a bit suffocating. I found this still life calming, but with a hint of carnival sexiness.
