Another Place 2012

I love this piece of artwork, this is I think the 4th time I have been here in the 6 years it has been gracing this stretch of sand, it always looks different and as the years go by and the figures become greener and more barnacled they only grow in interest.

We had a day trip on Merseyrail today, what a great local railway service it is. £4.20 for a day pass and we went from Hooton near Chester all the way up to Southport for that, if only it was as cheap and efficent in our capital! These are some more possible shots from our journey today including one looking out from the lovely cafe at the end of Southport pier replete with a fabulous penny arcade
