independence day

after a week of lessons, Shish had her first day of being left to it on the piste. The weather was beautiful, the piste was miniature with a restaurant at the bottom with a sun terrace and a lady who brought coffee.....she (Shish, not coffee lady) managed a bit of boarding before switching back to skis and enjoying a bit of speeeeeeeed :-)

It's warm and sunny back home too, so I was happy to see that the snow on the drive had melted. Maybe the chickens' predictions* of Spring not far away are really true?!


*if you want to know if Spring is round the corner, ask a chicken, they know everything. Or rather, more honestly, observe your free-ranging chickens, their behaviour is a good indication of how far away Spring is.
