big night out

This evening I had dinner with my older son Andrew and partner Elayne. They live on an island in the Gulf of Carpentaria so we don't see them very often.

Tonight, under the guise of celebrating E's birthday, the celebration also included their announcement that they are getting married in March of next year!!! So this time next year we will be preparing to board planes and boats, heading off to an island in the Great Barrier Reef to be part of the wedding of this very special and adventurous couple. How cool is that!!!

Oh and the food was spectacular too! This dish a thick red curry with duck, quail eggs and lychees and one of several equally lovely dishes shared by the two families.
