Grace Under Fire
First, I'd like to finish my manual for moving electronic equipment 101. Now that you've learned steps 1 and 2, the next step is very important, pay special attention to it.
3. Do not remove the photo from your camera before you put the components back together!
Soooooooo, how did it go, you ask? Well, thank you for all your kind comments about my brilliance (which I actually borrowed from my Sheepish Contraptioneer) but you should have waited to see if I followed step 3 before you told me I was so smart! The thing did come together nicely, everything worked, but the moment I tried to look at the photo to be sure I was doing it correctly, I discovered I had cut and pasted it into a file for blip and it was no longer on the camera! "Copy" and "paste" would have been nice, don't you think?
Now, about grace under fire...my Sheepish Contraptioneer, also referred to as my Humble Beloved, had a very long day sitting with his mom, also referred to as Mother Comfort, after she decided she needed another bit in the E.R. Yes, she's still living in a care home and, yes, we are still trying to work out a way that she won't have to ever be alone (as the mere thought of being alone sends her over the edge these days) so that she can go home.
We were planning another visit home this evening when she suddenly had a 'spell' this morning and had to go to the hospital. I needed to remain at work today, so he sat with her the whole time and she has become quite repetitive and just a wee bit negative (so understated), so 5 or 6 hours stretched his patience as far as it could go. He was lovely and still exhibiting grace when I arrived. The bonus was this sunset out her room window! Why does the best view with no power lines have to be out a hospital window? Oh well, I'll take it!
Thick window, a bit grainy, but a lovely view none-the-less.
