The Clyde
During an otherwise hectic visit to visit my dad, we managed to snatch a visit to Gourock for a coffee and some very nice cheesecake.
This photo was taken from the car park behind the coffee shop and looks over the river towards Kilgreggan.
If there is one thing above all others that I miss about not living in this part of the world anymore, it is the fact that I used to travel across the Clyde on a daily commute to Dunoon before I moved south and now live in the land-locked county of Bedfordshire.
The mother of my good friend (and radio presenting superstar) Cameron looks out on this view from her window and I feel incredibly guilty that we didn't have time to drop in to say hello on this occasion but he will understand what I mean when I say that I don't get the luxury of just dropping in; it becomes a full-on event.
