Half term Friday
It turns out half term is not good for blipping. Who'd have thought it?
But it's Friday. We made it :-) We zoo-ed, we shopped at a well known purveyor of shoes, we bemoaned the expense of shopping at a well known purveyor of shoes(!), we spent a book token and even played at a friend's house. Phew. Good job I have a 7 week holiday until Easter ;-)
We also planted a weather station in the garden today (courtesy of Grandma CleanSlate) and most of the day has been punctuated with no.1 son asking me if he can go and check which way the wind is blowing. I have thought of a few rude responses and <beaming> I have kept them all to myself :-)
The rascals have definitely been on a collision course today. We had to wait in for a parcel and there's been an element of us all climbing the walls. Why is it that when you wait for a parcel, it always seems to come at 5.40pm?? Seriously. Always. But they're in bed, the red wine forecast has been deliciously accurate and I am not on the M40, eating rubbery burgers (you know who you are!)
P.S. Any tips on how to get no.2 to a hairdresser would be gratefully received.
