Tsunami

Last day off before going back to work :-(

Started off in the gym, home made soup for lunch followed by a walk at Morton Loch. It was a bit chilly, so didn't hand around too much but came across this memorial in the forest.

I didn't know that around 7,000 years ago a tsunami hit the area a few miles from where I stay. The huge 70ft wave was caused by a massive underwater earthquake off the coast of Norway and would have been catastrophic for the early Mesolithic people who had settled here. Every day is a school day ;-)
