The Trip to Jerusalem
"The Trip", as it is known locally, claims to be the oldest inn in England, established in 1189. The story goes that it was used in the twelfth century as a stopping off place for crusaders on their way to fight in the Holy Land. This is just down the hill from the Castle Rock and its back rooms are part of the caves network.
It was covered in scaffolding the last time I was there so I popped round today after a nice, boozy lunch with a friend, and luckily the scaffolding was gone so I could get my blip. Still got loads more to blip in that area.
