Capturing the light

Photography is all about capturing the light and being able to work with it.

I have been playing around with the camera at home today and wanted to capture some of the lilies in my bouquet of leaving flowers. The other flowers are nearly on their way out, but the lilies have just opened and look really fresh.

I caught some nice shots of the petals and stamen and was happy with them. But all of a sudden the clouds parted and the sun shone through the sitting room window illuminating the flowers.

I was so pleased with the results of these shots, just packs a punch when the light is on your side!

What a difference one minute makes!
