Another hard day in the garden

This is an image of our back garden seen through the fence. We have had another great day for tidying up and S has at last got rid of all the old fencing. Estimate for its replacement seems pretty steep to me.

Ah well- have pruned the 2 willows and the climbing roses. Don't really know if this is the right time for it, but most have been pretty hardy so far.
Many more shy and retiring spring flowers revealed under layers of dead leaves.

Going to eat out tonight for S's birthday tomorrow, so no cooking to do.
