Record Breaker

School athletic sports were held today. Always an exhausting one for students and teachers alike, but most have smiles on their faces at the end of the day.

Our students broke a number of school records today - some of which had been unbeaten since the 80's. Here J is showing his winning style as he is the first to break the 1998 long jump record. Sadly for him only minutes later another student broke his new record.

I could have blipped the other student's style but I wanted to show how keen these kids are with this photo. J broke his arm back in December and due to complications it has still not healed, but there is no way he was prepared to miss sports day so along he came, cast and all. And he gave everything a go. Including throwing the discus and shot put with his left hand (he is right handed).

We are proud of all of our students - this is the sort of effort and enthusiasm (and madness) that was a feature of today's event.
