The Yellow Arrow

The end of IE 6

So, I work on an educational site for children that's partly funded with public money. Our mission is to reach as many children as possible, regardless of the age or state of their equipment. This meant supporting old browsers (making sure the site worked on them). The buggiest, most horrible browser to support is Internet Explorer 6. This week the percent of our audience that uses this browser fell to 1%, and we decided it was no longer necessary to support it. We were so happy that we threw a party!
