THE CHINESE GOOSE
I WAS UP AND OUT EARLY TODAY BEFORE THE RAIN/SLEET/SNOW HAD ARRIVED. MY ERRANDS HAD BROUGHT ME TO THE FARMINGTON RIVER AND I DECIDED TO CHECK IN AT A SPOT ON THE RIVER THAT MIGHT OFFER UP SOME WILD LIFE. AS I CLIMBED DOWN BEHIND THIS OLD BUILDING I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED BY A FLOCK OF CHINESE GEESE THAT SEEMED HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE MY ARRIVAL. THERE MUST HAVE BEEN ABOUT TEN WHITE GEESE AND ONE BROWN GOOSE. THEY WERE NOT IN A HURRY TO RUN OFF SO I TOOK THE OPPORTUNITY TO PULL UP A ROCK AND ENJOY THE MORNING. THE CHINESE GOOSE IS A BREED OF DOMESTIC GOOSE DESCENDED FROM THE WILD SWAN GOOSE. THEY ARE KNOWN FOR THEIR GRACEFULNESS , BLUE EYES AND THE UGLY KNOBS ON TOP OF THEIR BILL, GO FIGURE.
