It's all a bit ad hoc

.....but that is the way I like it.

This is one end of my bedroom. The blanket on the bed is a recent addition and made up the road in one of the working wool mills. The bed was made in Matlock and the guys took ages assembling it- it is huge. At the time you could get this plain version or a 'stocks' version (Nope I'm not kidding) where the end of the bed had a sliding wooden panel you could raise up and then lower to fix your head and arms in!!! I wonder how many of those they sold???

There are couple of pieces of dark wood second hand, preloved bits of furniture all suitably dented and scratched. One of the drawers there was full of tacks and nails and the like when I got it- seemed to have spent it's life in a workshop.Took me 2 days to thoroughly treat it for woodworm and it stank for about 6 months afterwards

Even though the room has been cleaned it is still cluttered...not very minamalist. Headtorch anyone???
