The End of an Era

This photo was taken at my family's lake house. It was built over 40 years ago by my grandfather. He wanted a place for his family to have a good time- and oh what good times were had! Many of my favorite memories from my lifetime center around this lake house. From boating, water skiing, fishing, tubing, and hours upon hours of swimming, this house provided some of the best times of my life. Every summer growing up we would fly out to Indiana (of all places) for a vacation. I am so thankful for all of the time we spent here growing up.

With the passing of my grandfather this week the fate of the house is up in the air. Most likely it will be sold as there is very little interest (except my father's) in keeping the place alive and in the family to enjoy.

I will always remember our little cabin in the woods of southern Indiana - our little slice of heaven.
