Insect runway

When the snow went I kept noticing this little patch of blue outside my office window. I thought it was pansies, but I finally twigged it was the specie irises I'd put in last autumn and forgotten about. What wonderful little things they are! I love the gold strip leading pollinators inside the luminous blue cave
