Packet House
Classic Manchester street corner local boozer and the Packet House is a classic example, one of a dwindling number. A Boddington's pub although "Boddingtons" is now merely a brand rather than the proud local brewery it was once. The "Cream of Manchester" as its, famously bitter, bitter was known is still around and still bitter but without the character that made it famous.
It is rumoured that all Boddington's pubs are on street corners and I suspect this is an urban myth but having photographed one on a corner I need to find another that isn't. Oh well, off to look for more Boddies' pubs :)
The 17th in my Manchester Pub series.
