Hockey Fan

All day long...I was in the hallowed halls of the hospital, walking laps around the mall, or stuck in the concrete jungle that is Flint, Michigan. I took 6 pictures of the sunset (red dots everywhere), and 4 pictures of a fake owl (I thought it was real because it was making screeching noises.")

Not that I really care...but my blip streak was in jeopardy. Merrick, my grandson, saved the day. His mama and his Uncle Jeff were over having pizza. Jeff remembered that he had bought Merrick a Red Wings jersey. "C'mon...lets put it on him."

I think the little man is a couple years away from wearing it. Now...with it on...it justs makes him look like ET.

How about them Wings? Probably not too many people care...but they just set the NHL record for consecutive home wins with 21 straight. Everybody, around here, including Merrick, is jumping on the band wagon. It looks like he is signaling a goal, but he is actually just responding to the age-old question of..."How big is Merrick?"

Jeff and I took turns lowering our shoulders into the little guy to give him some idea of what a check to the body feels like. He took it like a real trooper for a while...but then started beating Jeff over the head with his plastic hockey stick. HOCKEY...got to love it!!!!!
