of Memories

Sometimes,
I wonder if memories
look like this

When,
with our last breath,
with eyes staring seemingly into space

the images will dissolve from clear to nothingness
or maybe,
scenes of the past will be all too easy to recall,
everything precisely detailed.

It goes beyond what
the eye can see,
the brain's retention capacity;
perhaps it's evoked feelings within you and me
are that which shape our memories.
