Blue tongue
It seems my boarders had such a good time they decided to extend their stay! Nothing to do with this at all! They spent much of the day sitting in Ardrossan in the cafe at Asda (better than the cafe at the pier), before being told that there would definitely not be a boat, and they shifted across to Irvine or more specifically to Primark to get some clean underwear, then Mum and I joined them and we went for coffee at the cafe at Asda at Irvine. Life is exciting, wouldn't you say! Abi decided to have a slush puppy, and ended up with an attractive blue tongue. She was very disappointed when it quickly disappeared, and made me promise to Photoshop in a blue tongue. Hence the rather odd looking blip. I'm too tired to try hard, but it will do.
Mum's sugar was a bit all over the place, and I think there will be some adjustments made, but dealing with hyperglycaemia is now much quicker, with the wee computer doing the calculations and immediately injecting more insulin. She is hoping to get home tomorrow. The real disadvantage of spending the first few days with the pump as they seek to adjust the settings to what is required away from home is that it gets very awkward to eat the same things she would be eating at home, and to eat out as you can't exactly weigh your food in a restaurant. And of course you're not doing the same things as usual, like walking the dog, when the dog is staying with a cousin on Arran!
Let's hope the boat sails tomorrow! Ross and Abi are not looking forward to getting up early as I need to leave for work around when they would normally be being dragged from their beds (to be fair Ross requires less dragging!), but quite some dragging may be required tomorrow.
