Time..............Marches On

So, at last, I finally make it to 200 blips, with only the odd ( massive) gap or two!!!! I've always been impressed with blippers ability to find suitable images to celebrate blipdays, so this is mine!

As it's 200, I thought 2 watches, and the faces represent the 00!!

However, todays blip actually goes far deeper than that, as, by coincidence, today also marks an anniversary of losing my Father. The watch on the left was his. It's just an ordinary everyday watch, that got scratched and bashed and almost went into a bonfire one day!! Despite this, it means a lot to me, and when he died, it went straight onto my arm and stayed with me despite the adjustment knob falling off one day. I only stopped wearing it when the battery ran out and I put it into a safe place, intending to take it to be mended.
But, time marches on, and I found that I got as much comfort from knowing where it was, as I did from wearing it. So it has rested in my "really useful stuff" box, until now. I often spot it as i'm looking for things and it will go back into the box later on.
I think my Dad would be very happy to know that i'd included him tonight. He always had an SLR, and i have very fond memories of him taking the best part of an hour to take a photo, much to my Mothers distress!!!!!! I wonder what he would make of my 7d!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As i started to set up this shot (which is not easy as it is my arm and getting the framing and light right was very awkward without an extending neck!!!!), I noticed how close I was to the time that Dad's watch had stopped, so I set myself a challenge to catch my Blip at the time on his watchface. In the end, I did need to use Di's hand to hold a piece of paper over the flash to stop it from reflecting too much. I'm glad we practiced before the time came!!

So, I'd like to dedicate this Blip to my Dad, who I can feel looking down on me whenever I go out into the dark, starry night. He's in some very good company, My love to you all!!!
