A day working at home combined with a bit of well timed winter sunshine meant I had the pleasure of a lunch break pottering in the garden; what a lovely change from trudging around the city centre. This witch hazel is really coming into bloom and today its citrus fragrance wafted around in the still winter air. I also planted a couple of pots of snowdrops I'd bought at Hodsock Priory a few weeks ago. With all these beautiful winter flowering plants it seems a shame for spring to come at all. I love winter!
