Celebration

After the football (soccer) team won the Africa Cup of Nations, Zambians took to the streets to welcome the team back to Zambia. Traffic was gridlocked for hours as people blocked the major thoroughfares to mark their spot to watch the team return. It was quite a sight to behold. In Lusaka, there were probably hundreds of thousands of people in the streets from the stadium to the airport. I can't even guess at an accurate figure.
Needless to say, there was no great way to capture a still of the action. I shot video instead and this was a screen grab from it. My video didn't even do the celebration justice. An entire nation, celebrating as one. Amazing stuff, really.
