Piha

Went up into the Waitaks to check out a venue. Afterwards, being already half way there, we decided to hop over to Piha for a view of the Tasman before going home. It was cold, but the light was gorgeous, the surf not bad, and there were quite a few guys out there.

I got one shot of a dude getting some serious air launching himself, in perfect arms-spread swan-dive style, up and over the top of a close-out wave. I'd show it to you if I had a telephoto lens, but I don't, so it didn't turn out that well.

Today was the nicest weather Auckland has had in probably a month. It was good to feel some sun.
