House Construction--Paris: III

Progress continues on the house being expanded opposite our apartment (one street over, viewed between two buildings on our street; we're on the 4th floor--it would be the 5th in the U.S.). The expansion is adding the first and second floors (European style) to the house. A view from that street is here, and this is one a week earlier. The second blip has links to wider, earlier views.

Six workers have been there most of today--more than previously, adding wood framing (the lumber must have been raised by a crane on the truck that brought it--I was out at that point, but the small hoist they had previously could not possibly have lifted it). Viewed large, it's clear that one of the high workers is using an ordinary hammer (in contrast to the pneumatic nail guns that the workers on our house in Northampton used last year--here is that tagged series.
