Ian Dury's song "Reasons to be Cheerful" has been played several times through my headphones today. He lists all these fairly abstract things about why there is so much to be happy about. Granted, I find it difficult to be upbeat and perky all the time, it seems sometimes that things won't be getting better for a while. However, regardless of how terrible economies, financial markets and all the other gubbins may be, there are lots of things to be cheerful about. While nanny goats and John Coltrane soprano may not be on the top of most people's lists - the point of the song still holds.

What does this have to do with cress? Well, for me, watching the cress J planted in the flat is one of the things to be cheerful about (for me, anyway). Having plants in the flat when you don;t have a garden is a wee treat in my eyes. Also - I haven't tried counting, but there's a slim chance there may well be 100 wee cress leaves. I don't suggest you try to count them, you could be there for a while.

Passed my Theory Test for driving today. Another thing to be cheerful about.
