Saint-Valentin

I spent most of the day today working on a paper I'm giving on Thursday... still more to do tomorrow, unfortunately.

J and P had more fun exploring the Latin Quarter and the Canal Saint-Martin. We had a nice heart-shaped pear and peach pie for dessert to celebrate Valentine's day and the girls were thrilled to get Valentine's cards from their grandmother in the mail! (Thanks, Mom!)

After dinner, P, J and I went for what turned out to be a long walk. We saw the Eiffel tower sparkle at 9pm, then walked along l'ile des Cygnes, across the Pont Bir-Hakeim, up through Passy to avenue Mozart and back home down Mozart.
