Just a Stone's Throw Away

Derelict glasshouse, Kirkcaldy.

Kirkcaldy Parks Department used to grow all their own plants for local parks and displays. I believe they buy them all in now from outside nurseries. The old greenhouses have now become derelict.

I found out a little more information today.
The former nursery ground is being prepared for use as allotments.
The oldest glasshouse is Victorian and has a cast iron frame.
There is talk of a possibility that it may be restored.
