Ferry to Gourock
I have spent most of the day in meetings about the Dunoon/Gourock Ferry and its past , present and future. Alex Neil , the Cabinet Secretary for Infrastructure, was in the town and I think the outcome of the discussions with the Ferry Users Group, the Argyll & Bute Council Leader, and a wider group consisting of both Councils and others, was positive and forward looking.
So as I was leaving Dunoon early this evening I decided to come via the linkspan and take a shot of one of the boats leaving on the crossing, which is now every half our at peak time and which is becoming better and more reliable though there are still improvements needed, not least the replacement of the other boat, the Ali Cat, which has lost the confidence of the community.
