How did he do that?

Having just got through a five hour semi-final with Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic has just won the Australian Open Final, beating Rafael Nadal in the longest ever grand slam final. He was completely out on his feet in that final set, Rafa only had to keep getting the ball back over the net and surely he'd win. But that's not what happened. How did he do that?
