Michelle's Allotment

I headed over to Lewes this afternoon where Michelle picked me up so we could have lunch at the Snowdrop and then head back to her house in Hurst Green. They had lots of snow there a week ago and it's barely melted so the countryside looked beautiful. Before going home for copious amounts of tea, cookies and shortbread she showed me her allotment and then the new skinny house that she and Simon have bought.

That night I was absolutely freezing in the spare room and ended up wearing my pyjamas, socks, cardigan, slipper boots, gloves, scarf, coat and a beanie pulled down to my nose. I could have got out of bed to turn on the heater but it was too cold to move! The next morning I walked downstairs in all of my gear to which Michelle just shook her head - words were not necessary!
